If Trinity County had state competition for being the most remote county, it would be Modoc County. I don't think there are any incorporated cities in Modoc County. I've camped and hiked in the Warner Wilderness above Alturas. That is an excellent field day site if I can ever find the time to get back there. You should have full range into the entire Northwest US and being north of the Sierra Nevada's you'll have excellent 6m and below coverage into eastern US.

So unless somebody gives me some modoc freqs this is going to be a pretty lame description of how to monitor the county. I will be checking some e-mails and other guides of Modoc freqs to make sure everytthing is current.
